Spot the Difference

Shirt: Glassons
Skirt: Gorman
Clutch/Wallet: Marc Jacobs
Ring: Samantha Wills
Shoes: Alias Mae

My dad bought this amazing Gorman skirt for me today! If any of you Australian girls have never checked out their stuff, I suggest you do. Their stores and website are stocked with patterned skirts and jeans, colourful knits and to-die-for accessories. The brand Samantha Wills was also another great find. Their bohemian pieces are unique and come in pretty wooden boxes. I hope all of you had a great weekend!

Happy Scrapbook

I've decided to begin a regular feature on La Golden Closet - a Happy Scrapbook! Each week or so I will post some of the things that made me happy during those seven days. Please enjoy!

Vintage coin purse

I found this coin purse hanging around my room and realised how gorgeous it was. I just love finding little things like this! It was my granny's and she must have given it to me at some point in time.

Chanel lip gloss in No. 164
Dior Diorshow blackout mascara in No. 099
DIY silk pillow, fabric from Tessuti fabrics

I made this pillow about two weeks ago from some amazing silk I found in Sydney. It's such an unusual pattern! The two makeup pieces are my lifesavers - they're probably used everyday and the quality is beautiful.

Hmong tribe handmade clutch - from markets in Thailand

My sister bought this brilliant clutch for me when she travelled to Thailand a few weeks ago. It's so bright and ethnic and I use it to hold all the bits and pieces on my desk.

Art print - J.M.W. Turner from the Tate Britain
Vintage glass box
Sephora by O.P.I nail colour in 'Read My Palm'

J.M.W. Turner has always been one of my favourite artists. When I was able to see the Tate Britain exhibition of his works back when I was in London in January, I was blown away. Each individual piece is more stunning than the last, so I purchased this small print for my bedside table. The glass box is another gift from my granny, and the nail colour was a gift from a friend who travelled to Hawaii last year.

Germany Photo Diary

Snow-ridden and freezing near the Brandenburg Tor in Berlin.

A charming square in Frankfurt, one of the only places in the city not destroyed in WW2.

A morning stroll through the cobblestone streets of Cologne near the lake.

Sunset at the Cologne lake. The Dom (cathedral) across the water was at one point in history the tallest building in the world.

This was my second visit to Germany, yet for some reason I had never been to Berlin or Cologne! Both were both charming in their own ways, and it was interesting to see how East Berlin had changed since its communist days. One major problem was the freezing temperature, but luckily my older sister, who is fluent in German, navigated us into tiny cafes and warm art and history museums.

Blue Steel

T-shirt - Sportsgirl
Necklace - Handmade in Thailand
Bag - Michael Kors
Shorts - Zara
Boots - General Pants & Co.

It's been a long and hot day, and I am truly jealous of any people who are frolicking in winter snow this season. This gorgeous Thai necklace was brought home by my older sister who visited Thailand and Malaysia (such a lucky girl!). It seemed to warm to go out to shoot, so we took this photos in front of the pretty fence outside my house.

London & Paris Photo Diary

Europe - a place a girl always dreams of going to. This was my third time, and some of the places were now familiar and easier to navigate. Although it was so beautiful and breathtaking, travelling can be extremely tiring. These are some photos I have compiled from London & Paris. More will definitely be coming in the next post!

Hope you all had lovely holidays and got to experience as much magic as I did!
